Founded in 2008, Wedgetail Campers is a family-owned Australian camper manufacturer building premium slide-on campers in Newcastle, NSW. We deal directly with our customers from first enquiry through to delivery and ongoing support.
Every Wedgetail camper is built locally by experienced tradesmen, with a strong focus on practical design, durability, and long-term reliability. We are intentionally low-volume and build each camper to order rather than mass producing stock units, allowing us to maintain the quality and attention to detail Wedgetail has become known for.

From your first phone call or email, you’ll be dealing directly with owner Darren, who manages sales, customer support, and overall business operations. You’ll also likely meet Tony (Darren’s brother), who has been responsible for every Wedgetail camper build since day one.
Over the years, Wedgetail Campers has earned a reputation for practical innovation, honest advice, and high-quality Australian manufacturing, including multiple Camper Trailer of the Year awards in 2015, 2020, and 2021. With the awards not being held for several years in between, Wedgetail returned to reclaim back-to-back titles when the event resumed.
